FAQs

Q?

How does a consignment store work?

A.

We market, display and sell your gently used (or new!) items for you.  When your item sells in our store or online, we split the proceeds 50/50.  You can pick up a check for everything you sell on or after the 10th of the next month.

Q?

What type of payment do you accept in the store?

A.

We accept Cash, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover and Local Checks.

Q?

How do you like to see the items that are brought in for consignment?

A.

~Clothing-Clean, Pressed, and Laid Flat. Free of stains, tears and smells. Call ahead if you are not sure what season that we are accepting.

~Toys & Baby Gear-Clean, fabrics washed, i.e. car seats, high chairs, exersaucers, swings, etc. Straps and buckles clean. Working batteries in anything that requires batteries.

~Games & Puzzles- Complete sets, include instructions and must be in original package.

Q?

Are there items that you don’t accept?

A.

Stuffed animals, crib bedding sets, memory items, i.e. photo albums, baby books & picture frames. Nursery decor, infant car seats older than 3 years old. Any item that is recalled or considered unsafe.

Q?

Where are my unsold items donated?

A.

Greater Lansing Pregnancy Services-Directly to families in need, and not to places where items are resold for profit.

Q?

Why is consigning better than having a yard sale?

A.

We do most of the work for you! After you drop off your gently used or new items, we will handle the rest. We will do the merchandising, pricing, advertising and selling your items for you. You don't have to deal with pesky people coming to your house and negotiate with you about your items.

Q?

Why is consignment better than Craigslist or Ebay?

A.

Craiglist can be a hassle and you never know who is coming over to your residence. Ebay has a lot of fees, and you have to package and ship items yourself, or you may have strangers coming to your house to pick items up.

Our store is a safe friendly place to shop and sell!
